Irina Kharitonenko

Music Theory I

Irina Kharitonenko is a dedicated music educator originally from Minsk, Belarus, where she studied violin as her primary instrument in music school. After moving to Florida, she earned two degrees from Florida Gulf Coast University: a Bachelor’s in Human Biology and a Bachelor’s in Music Education with a vocal and choral concentration, excelling as a top student in most of her music courses. She has served as a long-term substitute at Pine View School and North Port High School, teaching music theory, choir, and vocal technique. In addition, Irina has over 20 years of church leadership experience as a youth choir director, worship leader, and pianist. Married for 22 years and a mom of three, she is currently homeschooling her children while teaching private piano lessons from home in Sarasota County and enjoying this season of family life.
