Carlann Evans
Intermediate Orchestra, Clarinet
Mrs. Carlann Evans, originally from Cleveland, Ohio, began playing violin at age 16 and was accepted to Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music, NOT for violin, but for clarinet. While there, she changed over to violin and earned her Bachelors degree in Music Performance, and went on to earn a Masters degree in Music Performance from University of Texas at Austin. She has played in the Orquesta Sinfonica de Tenerife, Spain as well as Orchestras in Galicia and Madrid, Spain. She has performed numerous solo concerts featuring a wide range of repertoire including Celtic and jazz standards. When Mrs. Evans isn't directing beginning orchestra at GCHFA, she plays at the Asolo Repertory Theatre and has been a member of the Sarasota Orchestra since 2001.
