Percussion, Music Theory I

Matthew Kibort earned his Bachelors degree in Percussion Performance from the Chicago College of Performing Arts. He then went on to be the timpanist with the New World Symphony in Miami. Matthew has performed with orchestras throughout the country including with the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Kansas City Symphony and Milwaukee Symphony. As a passionate educator, he has taught at Miami Music Project, The People’s Music School and the New Music School in Chicago. During the summers, Matthew is the Principal Timpanist of the Glimmerglass Festival in NY.
