Trombone
Dan received his Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and his master’s degree in Educational Administration from Wright State University. Dan also studied music and trombone at East Carolina University and the University of Dayton. His past experiences as an instructor include director of public-school bands/instrumental music programs in Ohio, Virginia, and North Carolina. His performance history includes playing solo trombone at various events, recitals, musicals, and performing as principal chair trombonist in numerous ensembles. Dan is currently playing Principal Trombone in the Sarasota Pops Orchestra, the Anna Maria Concert Choir and Orchestra; lead Trombone in the Bay Street Jazz Combo; a professional trombone quartet called the Manasota Trombone Consort and in various smaller bands. In the area he also periodically plays with the Sarasota Orchestra, in professional quartets, quintets, and Big Bands.
