William Romig
Applied Bass
William Romig started playing the upright bass at the age of nine. He studied with David Cobb, whose students include the principal bassist of the New York Philharmonic. William played in the Sarasota Youth Orchestra program for eight years, and was selected to perform with the Itzhak Perlman Super Strings. He is also experienced with many other music styles, from jazz, to pop, to contemporary Christian, and also plays the Bass Guitar. On any given week, you might find William playing at churches, retirement homes, or farmers markets throughout the Sarasota area.
