Improve Improv
This six-week workshop is designed for students who have completed Jazz Lab or Fusion and are ready to deepen their understanding of jazz improvisation. Through focused instruction and ensemble playing, students will explore foundational techniques for improvisation, including the use of guide tones, scale-based approaches, rhythmic ideas, and effective phrasing.

The course emphasizes practical application, encouraging students to develop their musical vocabulary, listen critically, and build confidence as soloists within a supportive group setting. By the end of the workshop, students will gain the tools and experience needed to improvise with greater fluency, creativity, and assurance.
