Applied Strings Classes are for students who have never played a string instrument. One of our professional instructors will teach the basics of the student’s chosen instrument in a class setting with other students close in age. Students will participate in two concerts during the year. 

To participate in Applied Strings, students must be at least 13 years old and attend an instrument fitting, which includes a musical aptitude test and provides an opportunity to see and try the orchestra instruments.

Music theory will also be part of their class at no extra cost and should be added during the enrollment process.
